Fall Craft Roundup

Updated: Sep 9, 2020

It's that time of year again. The leaves are changing colors, the nights are cooler and the smell of pumpkin spice is in the air. Fall is right around the corner and I am so ready for it! With that being said I was getting the bug to do some fun Autumn-themed crafts.

Since I started my blog back in April I have had the pleasure of meeting some very creative bloggers, many of which are busy moms too. They have awesome sites that I highly recommend checking out if you haven’t already. If you saw my Summer Craft Roundup post you will recognize some of these bloggers already but there's a few new ones as well.

I don't know about your kiddos, but mine loves playing dress-up. These homemade masks are super cute and fun to make because you can use whatever nature items you have in your own backyard! Go for a nature walk and see what neat things you can find and then try making your own nature mask.

Handprint crafts are always fun! I just love looking back later on and seeing how much my kiddos have grown already. Plus it's great for kids because they have a chance to get a little messy and create something.

Empty jars are great for crafts, like these tealight holders. You can recycle empty jars to create this cute and easy decor item which is perfect for fall.

Use these as a festive centerpiece or place them around your home. There is also a video tutorial showing step-by-step how to make these so make sure to check it out!

If you are doing homeschooling this year with your young preschooler or kindergartener this project will be perfect for fall.

Do you have some empty toilet paper rolls laying around? They are perfect to make into crafts like this simple turkey project. Plus you don't have to run out and buy a bunch of expensive materials, recycle things you already have around your house.

This craft is more for mom and not as much for the kids to do. However it looks beautiful and even uses recycled bottles (yay recycling!). There's a few simple steps to create these bottles which are great to add to your fall decor.

Check out this step-by-step tutorial on how to make these beauties and recycle a few things in the process.

This is another craft that uses recycled items, in this case pistachio shells. Create this fun and colorful tree which also works on your child's fine motor skills as they handle painting the small shells.

Wooden crates are sort of a stable decor item for the holidays and they can be decorated in many different ways depending on the season. This craft is super easy and is an inexpensive way of making your own display crates.

I never knew that you could paint on salt to create beautiful art. This craft shows you how and it's very easy to do. You can simplify it even more for children with templates so they have an outline to follow.

If you're staying home and doing remote school with your children you will definitely want to check out this page. There's a ton of craft ideas on the site and it's loaded with inspiration.

This craft is great for Thanksgiving and developing fine motor skills. Have fun collecting sticks outside with your child and enjoy nature a bit. Then make these super cute turkeys you can hang around your house for the holidays.

When the leaves start changing colors you know fall is near. All of those bright beautiful colors are one of the most iconic things about the season.

This craft is so fun because you can do finger painting or use other items around the house or outside. Try painting this project with sponges, pine cones, sticks or leaves to create a festive and colorful fall tree.

How cute are these DIY wood canvases? They look high-end and are easier to make than you may think. Using a few items you can pick up from your local dollar store you can easily create some custom artwork to decorate your house for the fall season.

This one is not technically a craft but scavenger hunts are always a fun thing to do with your children. Plus if you go hunting for some of the things on the list you can use them to make some really neat crafts!

Print this super cute scavenger hunt and take on a nature hike or even the cider mill. I know my daughter loves to grab a bunch of items on our walks like sticks, flowers and leaves so having a checklist is such a great idea.
